WebJan 13, 2011 · Thinking of getting a 3 litre auto Hilux, but will have to tax it privately. According to motortax.ie the rate, based on engine size is: €1293 for engine sizes from 2901 - 3000cc. I believe that the Hilux 3 litre is actually 2982cc. For post 2008 vehicles, emissions based, at 219g/kg the rate is €1050. Am I missing something here?
