The Dietetics/Nutrition Practice Act became effective November 1, 1991. WebNorth Carolina licenses dietitians as licensed dietitian nutritionists and nutritionists as licensed nutritionists. There is no licensure requirement for providing nutrition services that are not medical nutrition therapy.
